Job Opportunity: Maintenance Mechanic

Our client is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic. Visa sponsorship may be considered for qualified candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: 5815 – 75 Street, Edmonton, AB, T6E 0T3
• Salary: $38.25 hourly / 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Conditions: On-site

Responsibilities

• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts.
• Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
• Operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
• Install machinery and equipment.
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
• Experience: 5 years or more in a similar role.
• Languages: English.

Work Environment

• Work site environment: Noisy.
• Work setting: Machinery installation, Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul, Machine set-up.

Skills and Specialization

• Welding techniques: Flux core arc welding (FCAW).
• Experience with equipment and machinery including conveyor systems, hydraulic systems, lathes, and power tools.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 45 kg / 100 lbs).
• Work conditions may involve physically demanding tasks, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
