Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Machine Tool Set-Up Operator who will be responsible for operating and setting up machines for machining operations. Immigration support is potentially available for qualified applicants.

• Location: 1315 Heine Court, Burlington, ON, L7L 6A7
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $22.00 per hour for 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, full time
• Special Commitments: Day, Evening, Shift

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations
• Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
• Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
• Clean and maintain work space

Qualifications

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Work Environment: Noisy, in a manufacturing setting
