Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Long Haul Truck Driver. Immigration support is potentially available for qualified applicants. This role involves driving as part of a two-person team or convoy, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring vehicle maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: Will train; long-haul transportation experience preferred.
• Certificates: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Language: Proficiency in English.

Work Conditions

This is an on-the-road job requiring frequent travel. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record check.

Compensation

This position offers a salary of $25.10 per hour, with expected work hours ranging from 40 to 60 hours per week.
