Overview

• Languages Required: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Will train
• Travel Requirements: Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Obtain special permits and documents for international transport
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect equipment
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
• Ensure safety and security of cargo
• Transport and handle dangerous goods

Credentials

• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

• Security: Driving record check (abstract)
• Work Conditions: Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, sitting.
• Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
