Job Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Long Haul Truck Driver. Immigration support may be available for overseas candidates. This is a permanent full-time position with a salary range of $36.00 to $37.00 hourly, depending on experience.

Job Details

• Location: 323 Church Street, Oakville, ON, L6J 1P2
• Work Setting: On-site
• Hours: 40 to 60 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes using navigation devices to optimize fuel consumption.
• Address customer complaints or concerns.
• Drive in a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods and ensure safety during transport.
• Obtain necessary permits for international routes.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle conditions and perform roadside repairs as needed.
• Record cargo information, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Tarp and secure cargo adequately.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: Previous experience in trucking is an asset.
• Language: Proficiency in English is required.

• Ability to handle physically demanding work and repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
