• Location: Various locations in Sussex Corner, NB and Penobsquis, NB
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $58,000 to $70,000 annually (To be negotiated) / 45 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Special Commitments: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours

Overview

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Responsibilities

• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
• Provide staff training

Credentials

• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
• Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

• Security and Safety: Valid passport, Bondable, Criminal record check, Driving record check, Drug test, Medical exam
• Transportation/Travel Experience: Willing to travel cross-border, internationally, and for extended periods
