Position: Long Haul Truck Driver

Job Overview

The role involves operating and driving trucks, transporting goods and materials across various locations. It requires adherence to safety regulations and vehicle maintenance inspections.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive both straight and articulated trucks
• Inspect vehicle conditions including tires, lights, and brakes
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Certifications: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Work Conditions

• Work location: On the road
• Salary: $36.60 hourly for 40 to 50 hours per week
• Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time
• Vacancies: 5
