Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Long Haul Truck Driver to join their team. This position offers immigration support for qualified candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: 8 Nicholas Beaver Rd, Puslinch, ON, N0B 2J0
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $29.00 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Overtime: Required
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Mountain driving expertise
• Load and unload goods
• Obtain special permits and documents for transporting cargo on international routes
• Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
• Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo
• Transport and handle dangerous goods

Qualifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 to less than 2 years

Certifications

• AZ class license
