Our client is seeking a Long Haul Truck Driver to join their team. This position offers visa sponsorship options for international applicants, with support available for candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Bolton, ON
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $36.00 hourly / 40 to 60 hours per week
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full time

Responsibilities

• Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections
• Receive and relay information to the central dispatch
• Record cargo information and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Requirements

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• Experience is an asset

Certifications

• AZ class license
• Air Brakes Endorsement

Skills

• Excellent oral communication
• Attention to detail
• Ability to handle heavy loads
• Team player with flexibility and reliability
