• Salary: $36.65 hourly / 40 to 50 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent full-time
• Overtime: Required

Overview

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Responsibilities

• Address customers’ complaints or concerns
• Mountain driving expertise
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Credentials

• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Additional Information

• Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Driver’s validity license check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test
• Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight
