Job Overview

Our client is seeking experienced Long Haul Truck Drivers for permanent, full-time positions. Immigration support may be available for international applicants, including candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Various locations, primarily Caledon East, ON
• Salary: $28.50 to $30.00 per hour (to be negotiated), with 40 to 60 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time
• Work Setting: On site
• Vacancies: 10 vacancies available

Responsibilities

• Provide professionalism in customer service
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Inspect vehicle conditions such as tires, lights, and brakes
• Perform brake adjustments and maintenance
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
• Relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information
• Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo

Qualifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

Experience is an asset.

Certificates and Licenses

• AZ class license
• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Additional Requirements

• Valid passport and criminal record check
• Ability to drive manual transmission and willingness to travel cross-border
• Capacity to handle physical demands and heavy loads
• Maintaining a safety-conscious attitude and attention to detail
