Position: Live-in Caregiver – Persons with Disabilities

Location: Heritage Pointe, AB

Work Location: On site

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour (Negotiable), 30 to 45 hours per week

Special Commitments: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours

Overview

Languages: English

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: 1 to less than 2 years

Work Setting

• Room and board provided
• Work in employer’s/client’s home

Responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Assist clients in water (i.e., pool)
• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
• Feed or assist in feeding
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Mend clothing and linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Provide companionship
• Provide personal care
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Cook
