Our client is seeking a Litigation Law Clerk. Immigration support may be available for international candidates.

Job Details

• Location: North York, ON
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $50,000 to $70,000 annually (To be negotiated), 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on legal proceedings
• Assemble documentary evidence in preparation for trial
• Co-ordinate administrative services
• Issue subpoenas, summonses, and warrants
• Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining filing systems
• Receive affidavits, declarations, and affirmations
• Research records, court files, and other legal documents
• Schedule court trials
• Arrange pre-trial conferences and hearings
• Assist lawyers in preparation for mediation and judicial dispute resolutions
• Draft legal correspondence

Qualifications

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Asset Languages: Latvian
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of database management, legal software applications, MS Office, and MS Windows
