Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Line Technician, Telecommunications for their Edmonton location. This position comes with immigration support potentially available for overseas candidates.

Job Details

• Location: Edmonton, AB
• Salary: $37.00 hourly, 33 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Morning, Day

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
• Test equipment to locate transmission faults
• Complete and maintain test and service reports
• Determine nature, cause, and location of trouble
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures
• Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets
• Determine work assignments
• Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
• Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers
• Splice, join, and connect wires
• Repair or replace defective telephone equipment

Qualifications

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• 7 months to less than 1 year

Credentials

• Working at heights training
• First Aid Certificate
