Your Opportunity:This position will report to the Unit Manager and will support the Labor and Delivery/Medical Unit. The LPN will be committed to providing open communication and feedback with respect for colleagues, care providers, patients, and families. The LPN will also work as a member of a healthcare team, collaborating on the delivery of care to meet the needs of the patients/clients. The LPN participates in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care and should expect to work to their full scope of practice. Description:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional healthcare team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and our client’s policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
– Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
– Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
– Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:
– Strong communication skills, both written and orally.

Preferred Qualifications:
– Minimum (1) year employment as a licensed practical nurse in acute care in the past (3) years.
– Basic Cardiac Life Support, Non-violent Crisis Intervention training courses.
