Within a half-hour drive are three beautiful lakes ideal for camping and fishing, and the Red Deer River is just 5 minutes away. Red Deer is approximately 25 minutes North of Innisfail, and Calgary is approximately 50 minutes South.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and our policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of our organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

• 1-3 years’ experience working in the Acute Care setting.
• Lead 2 cardiac lead interpretation course.
• IV Direct Administration course.
• CAM B cardiac rhythm interpretation course.
• Experience with CVAD.
• Up to date with LPN courses and the ability to work to your full scope of practice.
• Ability to work on your feet for long periods.
• Ability to work independently and within the team setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all healthcare disciplines.
• Follow the policies and procedures of Alberta Health Services.
• Up to date It’s Your Move and Mask Fit testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Emergency experience 1-2 years.
• CTAS preferred.
• Rural Nurse Connect Care Training.
