Your Opportunity:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and our client’s policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting their shared vision and values. The Obstetrics Department consists of a single room maternity care model with 22 rooms, including 18 Labour, Delivery and recovery rooms, 4 private antepartum/postpartum rooms, and a 5-bed assessment/Ob triage area. We care for patients who are low to high risk during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including those requiring C-sections. The 5-bed assessment/OB triage area is dedicated to outpatient care and assessment of pregnant women from 20 weeks gestation to delivery. When census allows, we also care for off-service patients. Our values center around providing high quality, effective, efficient, evidence-based, patient-centered care for all our pregnant, laboring, postpartum, newborn, and perinatal loss patients. Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation.
