Our client is a designated supportive living facility seeking to mentor and support a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team and work within a residential care setting. As an LPN, you will be part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and relevant policies and procedures. Your role will be crucial in providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the organization’s shared vision and values.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

This position requires frequent physical demands for long periods of time, including transferring patients of varying sizes and degrees of mobility. You should possess competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as needed. You must be able to work in an interdisciplinary team environment and also work independently to the full scope of LPN practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ongoing responsibility for maintaining your own continuing competence through professional development activities.
