Our client is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide exceptional care to emergency patients and acute care medical inpatients in a collaborative healthcare environment. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and is located in a community designated for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness, allowing eligible candidates to benefit from potential loan forgiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care to emergency and acute care patients in a 32-bed unit.
• Collaborate closely with Nurses, Physicians, Unit Clerks, and Health Care Aides.
• Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Communicate openly with colleagues, care providers, patients, and families.
• Work to your full scope of practice as guided by education and experience.

• Hours per Shift: 11.08
• Shift Pattern: Days, Nights, Weekends
• Minimum Salary: $27.58
• Maximum Salary: $36.13

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications

• Education in CTAS, Cardiac Arrest Management (CAM) Basic and Advanced or ACLS.
• Training in Trauma 101 or TNCC, Pediatric Building Blocks or PALS, and ENPEP.
• IV and CVAD competency.
• Additional courses and training applicable to the rural acute and emergency setting.
