Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments
• Stay current with kinesiology research and best practices
• Work collaboratively with patients to set and achieve their functional goals
• Carry out fitness training sessions or rehabilitation sessions
• Guide and educate patients with recommended treatment plans
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals regarding the patient’s condition, needs, and progress
• Maintain detailed patient documentation using electronic charting systems
• Educate patients on injury prevention and wellness strategies

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field
• BCAK (British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists) registration
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics
• Experience in an acute care setting is preferred
• Experience with ICBC claims and motor vehicle accident rehabilitation preferred
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
• Proficiency in computer operation and electronic medical records systems
• Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese) is a plus
