Position Summary

Our client is recruiting 4 certified IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technicians to support projects in Canada.

Work Location

Primary office locations are in Fort McMurray, Alberta, and Kitimat, British Columbia. The role requires frequent travel to various project sites across Alberta and British Columbia.

Terms of Employment

Permanent, full-time position.
Hourly wage rate of $51.50 to $57.62 CAD, depending on experience and relevant technical qualifications. Overtime of 1.5X is payable as per applicable provincial employment standards, with additional bonuses and premiums for evening or night work. Eligible for wage increases and bonuses at the company’s discretion in accordance with policy. Vacation pay is provided at a rate of 6%.

Language of Work

Fluent English skills (written and spoken) are a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

An IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician utilizes specialized knowledge of Rope Access Technology to:

  • Manage the safety of crews engaged in rope access activities.
  • Organize work functions specific to rope access jobs.
  • Supervise crews performing a broad range of technical and/or industrial services at heights.
  • Ensure individual and organizational compliance with IRATA standards and regulations for safe and effective performance of work.
  • Oversee safety management, work site organization and planning, and supervision of others while suspended from ropes.

    • Requirements

  • IRATA Level 3 Certification required.
  • Thorough understanding of rope access applications and comprehensive knowledge of theory, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing, hauling, and advanced rescue techniques.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician in various industrial environments.
  • Current first aid certification.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
  • Ability to work productively in various adverse conditions.
  • Physical and psychological fitness with the ability to submit to random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Compliance with client-required pandemic policies prior to employment and continued compliance with adaptive policies.
