Job Overview

Our client is looking for an Insulator, Heat and Frost with potential visa sponsorship for international applicants. This position is open to candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

• Location: Kelowna, BC
• Workplace Information: On site
• Salary: $24.00 to $41.86 per hour (to be negotiated), 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
• Select type of insulation required
• Measure and cut insulating materials using hand and power tools
• Apply and secure insulation using various methods
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs
• Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials
• Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials

Experience and Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Languages: English

Work Conditions

• Physically demanding tasks
• Ability to work standing for extended periods
• Bending, crouching, and kneeling
• Manual dexterity required
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
