Job Opportunity: Implementation Specialist / Business Analyst

Our client is seeking an Implementation Specialist / Business Analyst to join their team. This is a fully remote position, with potential travel to client sites across Canada and the U.S. You will report directly to the Manager of Professional Services, collaborating closely with customers to understand their business requirements, configure software solutions, and provide training to ensure value creation.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct business analysis to define and document customer business requirements; interpret and apply the information within the project’s scope.
• Translate client requirements into functional specifications through process mapping using defined processes.
• Identify gaps between client needs and system capabilities through gap analysis.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, documenting business requirements, use cases, and pain points.
• Configure the software with workflow and business rules to streamline client business processes.
• Collaborate with Data Conversion Specialists for a smooth transition of legacy client data.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users in both remote and classroom settings.
• Become an expert on software functionality and capabilities to respond to client queries.
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve client issues throughout the implementation process.
• Engage with cross-functional team members including Project Managers, Data Conversion Specialists, and Technical Support Analysts.

A Day In The Life:

• Receive weekly project allocations and goals from the Project Manager.
• Work on assigned tasks, engaging with clients and compiling data requirements.
• Configure software, perform testing and quality assurance.
• Deliver solutions to clients and action client feedback.
• Report on status and update internal tracking systems.

What We’re Looking For:

• Highly focused and accountable individual.
• Ability to prioritize conflicting work assignments and manage uncertainty.
• Experience and/or knowledge of local government processes.
• 5+ years of software configuration and/or end-user training experience preferred.
• Experience in identifying, defining, analyzing, and documenting client work processes.
• Exceptional analytical abilities and strong business analysis skills.
• Understanding of the general licensing and permit processes.
• Post-secondary education in a technology-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills in a customer-facing context.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% in Canada and the USA.

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Experience with the permitting process.
• Understanding of database applications (installed and web-based).
• Experience with MS SQL Reporting Services or equivalent.
