Responsibilities

• Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures.
• Coordinate activities of the HR department to meet organizational goals.
• Direct and control daily operations and staff.
• Evaluate daily operations and motivate staff.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate HR policies and programs.
• Review HR projects for compliance with laws and regulations.
• Train staff and advise on HR policies, benefits, and collective agreements.
• Establish and implement policies and procedures.
• Mediation of labour disputes and grievances.
• Plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies.
• Research and prepare job classifications, descriptions, and salary scales.
• Manage contracts and employee performance programs.
• Oversee training and development strategies.
• Research employee benefits and safety practices, recommending changes.
• Prepare reports and advise senior management.
• Respond to employee questions and complaints.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff.
• Conduct performance reviews.
