Our client is seeking a Receptionist for a hotel position located in Harvie Heights, AB. This is a full-time, permanent employment opportunity. Immigration support may be available for qualified candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.
Job Details

- Salary: $17.50 to $19.50 hourly (to be negotiated)
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities
- Investigate complaints and claims
- Register arriving guests and assign rooms
- Resolve complaints and claims
- Process group arrivals and departures
- Take, cancel and change room reservations
- Provide information on hotel facilities and services
- Provide general information about points of interest in the area
- Exchange foreign currency
- Process guests’ departures, calculate charges, and receive payments
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
- Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
- Follow emergency and safety procedures
- Perform clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying)
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
- Assist clients/guests with special needs
- Contact customers to deliver requested wakeup calls
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Provide customer service
Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
- Languages: English
