Job Details

• Location: 105 Vanderhoof Avenue, East York, ON, M4G 2H5
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 annually (To be negotiated)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week
• Special Commitments: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours
• Vacancies: 1 vacancy

Responsibilities

• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes according to recipes or special customer orders.
• Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Bake mixed dough and batters.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• Prepare special orders.
• Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
• Draw up production schedules.
• Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
• Schedule staff and inspect kitchen and food service areas.
• Operate machinery and organize/maintain inventory.
• Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 to less than 3 years
• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
• Languages: English

Work Environment

• Fast-paced environment with physical demands including standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and handling heavy loads.
• Work must be completed on-site; remote work is not an option.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
