Our client is looking for a General Machinist with potential immigration support available for qualified candidates, including those with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Cambridge, ON
• Work location: On site
• Salary: $35.00 hourly (40 hours per week)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent full-time
• Special Commitments: Day, Shift, Overtime available

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
• Set up and adjust production machineries/tools
• Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
• Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
• Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports

Equipment and Machinery Experience

• Boring machines
• Drill presses
• Milling machines
• Surface grinders
• Tool grinders
• Universal grinders

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Tight deadlines
• Standing for extended periods
• Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and more
• Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
