Job Details

• Location: 52107 Range Road 12, Parkland, AB, T7Y 2B7
• Work Setting: On site
• Salary: $15.00 per hour / 40 to 80 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Start Date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Diagnose livestock health issues
• Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses
• Handle animals; marking livestock as proof of ownership
• Monitor the calving process and overall animal health
• Perform animal grooming and livestock feeding
• Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
• Treat livestock health issues
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Follow farm safety and bio-security procedures
• Maintain quality control and production records
• Perform general farm duties

Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Will train
• Languages: English
• Work Conditions: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, capable of standing for extended periods, with physical demands including bending and kneeling
• Tools: Own steel-toed safety boots and gloves
• Personal Suitability: Quick learner
