Our client is seeking a General Farm Worker for harvesting in Langley, BC. Visa sponsorship is potentially available for qualified candidates. This is a seasonal, full-time position with opportunities for international applicants including those with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Langley, BC
• Work setting: On site, staff accommodation available, remote location
• Salary: $17.85 per hour, 40 to 60 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Seasonal, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizers
• Clean the crops
• Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
• Clear fields of wood and stones
• Cut agricultural crops
• Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades
• Level earth to fine grade specifications
• Pack fruits and vegetables
• Pick row and orchard crops
• Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
• Sort fruits and vegetables
• Weeding and cleaning work areas
• Harvest crops
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment

Work Environment

• Outdoors, all weather conditions
• Physically demanding tasks
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Education

• No degree, certificate, or diploma required

Experience

• Experience considered an asset
