Job Details

• Salary: $17.00 to $22.00 per hour (to be negotiated)
• Employment Type: Seasonal, Part time leading to full time
• Work Location: On site
• Hours: 30 to 45 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Pave and rake asphalt
• Perform routine maintenance work
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites

Qualifications

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
• Certificates:
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) training
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate

Work Environment

• Outdoors
• Noisy, Dusty, and Hot conditions

Skills and Abilities

• Physically demanding with the ability to handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs)
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity required
• Dependability, flexibility, and a teamwork-oriented attitude

• Transportation: Own transportation and valid driver’s license needed
