Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Framing Carpenter who is willing to join their team. This role involves various responsibilities within the construction field, offering opportunities for candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: North Vancouver, BC
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 hourly (To be negotiated), 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Special Commitments: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend
• Vacancies: 2 vacancies

Responsibilities

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.

Work Environment

• Work setting includes construction, renovation, commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects.
• Must have own transportation and tools, specifically steel-toed safety boots.
• Expect physically demanding work that may require bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in the field.
• Languages: Proficiency in English.
