Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Food Service Supervisor for their food service establishment. Visa sponsorship may be available for overseas candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: 2400 Bloor Street West, Toronto, ON, M6S 1P5
• Salary: $17.25 hourly / 30 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Number of Vacancies: 2

Responsibilities

• Establish methods to meet work schedules
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
• Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Prepare and submit reports
• Prepare food order summaries for chef
• Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
• Establish work schedules

Supervision

• Supervise 3-4 staff members including food service counter attendants and food preparers

Working Conditions

• Fast-paced environment
• Work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking; physically demanding

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role
• Languages: English
