Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Food Service Supervisor who will oversee and coordinate staff activities in a vibrant food service environment. Visa sponsorship may be considered for overseas candidates.

Job Details

• Location: Edmonton, AB
• Salary: $36.00 hourly, 32 to 44 hours per week
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Location: On-site
• Special Commitments: Overtime required; flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and nights

Responsibilities

• Establish methods to meet work schedules
• Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
• Hire food service staff
• Ensure food and service meet quality control standards
• Prepare budget and cost estimates
• Address customer complaints or concerns
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
• Prepare and submit reports
• Supervise and check assembly of trays
• Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
• Establish work schedules

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 to less than 2 years
• Languages: English

• Fast-paced environment, work under pressure
• Attention to detail required
• Physically demanding work with prolonged standing, bending, crouching, and walking
