Job Overview

Our client is seeking a food and beverage server for their restaurant located in Toronto, ON. This position offers visa sponsorship options, including potential support for candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Salary: $17.20 hourly / 35 hours per week
• Employment Type: Permanent full-time
• Work Location: On site

Responsibilities

• Address customers’ complaints or concerns
• Prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables
• Present bills to customers and accept payment in various forms
• Describe menu items including daily specials
• Advise customers on menu selections
• Balance cash and record sales
• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
• Greet patrons and answer questions regarding food and beverages
• Serve food and beverages
• Take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff
• Assist clients/guests with special needs
• Provide excellent customer service

Work Conditions

• Fast-paced environment
• Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods
• Bending, crouching, and kneeling
• Ability to work under pressure

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role
• Language: Proficient in English
