Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Family Physician to join their team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive healthcare services within a private practice setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
• Experience: 5 years or more
• Languages: English

Responsibilities

• Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
• Perform and assist in routine surgery
• Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
• Participate in healthcare policy and planning
• Advise patients on health care
• Supervise staff
• Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
• Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
• Supervise home care services

Additional Information

• Certificates: College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) and Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
• Security and Safety: Medical exam and driver’s validity licence check required
• Transportation: Valid driver’s licence required
• Work Conditions: Must work under pressure
