Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Family Physician to join their private practice in Edmonton, AB. This position offers the potential for visa sponsorship, allowing international candidates to apply with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Edmonton, AB
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $200,000 to $400,000 annually (to be negotiated)
• Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Languages: English
• Certifications:
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities

Responsibilities

• Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals.
• Help patients develop healthy habits and reshape their approach to wellness.
• Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• Inoculate and vaccinate patients.
• Participate in health care policy and planning.
• Advise patients on health care matters.
• Report births, deaths, and diseases to government authorities.
• Coordinate or manage primary patient care.
• Provide counselling and support on a range of health and lifestyle issues.
