Early Childhood Teacher Opportunity

Our client is seeking a licensed Early Childhood Teacher to join their team at a childcare center located in Ladner, catering to children aged 1 to 5 years. This position offers BC PNP support for qualified candidates who may require visa sponsorship.

Job Details

Job Title: Early Childhood Teacher
Pay: $20-22/hr. plus $6/hr. Wage Enhancement
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a high-quality program, in line with the curriculum.
• Plan and maintain an environment that respects the health, security, and well-being of children.
• Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and staff.
• Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats.
• Support children in developing self-help skills and independence.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Be punctual and maintain a professional appearance at all times.

Qualifications

• BC ECE license required.
• Current Emergency First Aid & CPR-C Certification.
• Previous CEFA experience or CEFA certification is considered an asset.
