Job Overview

Our client is seeking an Early Childhood Educator (ECE). This position will support international applicants as immigration support may be provided for qualified candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $19.64 to $27.62 per hour (To be negotiated)
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full time
• Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
• Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
• Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.

Qualifications

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, Early childhood education and teaching.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
• Languages: English
