Our client is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Early Childhood Educator (ECE). This role provides opportunities for candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit, and may offer visa sponsorship support.

Job Details

• Location: Port Moody, BC
• Workplace Information: On-site
• Salary: $34.00 to $37.00 per hour (To be negotiated)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Assess children’s development to prepare tailored learning plans.
• Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties.
• Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
• Develop and implement child-care programs promoting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
• Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
• Communicate children’s situations to parents.
• Lead activities through storytelling, teaching songs, and organizing local outings.
• Order supplies and maintain daycare equipment.
• Encourage children’s creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activities.
• Prepare snacks and organize rooms for lunch and rest periods.
• Observe and report potential learning or behavioural problems.
• Establish and maintain relationships with co-workers and community service providers.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
• Certifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate
• Experience: Experience is an asset.
• Skills: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, and the ability to oversee and coordinate activities.
