Overview

Our client seeks a qualified Early Childhood Educator to assess children’s development and prepare tailored learning plans. Responsibilities include assisting in daily childcare tasks, supervising staff, and communicating with parents.

Responsibilities

• Assess children’s development and prepare learning plans.
• Assist co-workers with housekeeping and cooking duties.
• Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
• Develop and implement childcare programs promoting all aspects of child development.
• Maintain daycare equipment and promote storytelling.
• Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
• Communicate children’s situations to parents.
• Encourage creativity through art, music, and play.
• Observe children for learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports.
• Attend staff meetings and establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
• Plan and maintain a healthy environment for children.
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.

• First Aid Certificate
• CPR Certificate
