• Salary: $36.60 hourly, 30 to 35 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent full-time
• Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Morning

Overview

This position requires a secondary school graduation certificate and 1 to 2 years of work experience in drywall installation and finishing. The work environment and physical capabilities required include:

• At heights
• Dusty and noisy conditions
• Bending, crouching, kneeling
• Handling heavy loads and repetitively performing tasks
• Standing for extended periods
• Work under pressure

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with:

• Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
• Applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster
• Cleaning and preparing surfaces
• Cutting and installing metal corner beads
• Fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids
• Measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing drywall sheets
• Positioning and securing sheets to metal or wooden studs
• Taping over joints using a taping machine
• Preparing wall and ceiling layouts
• Working at heights on scaffolding or swing stages
