Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher for commercial and residential projects. Immigration support is potentially available for qualified candidates, with or without a valid work permit.

Job Details

• Location: 11124 36 ST NE, Calgary, AB, T3N 1L3
• Salary: $36.00 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Work Location: On site

Responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
• Languages: English.

Weight Handling

• Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
