Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Dog Handler for their facility in Calgary, AB. This position offers immigration support for qualified applicants including those with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Calgary, AB
• Employment Type: Permanent, Part-time leading to full-time
• Salary: $15.00 to $17.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
• Work Hours: 10 to 30 hours per week
• Workplace Information: On site

Responsibilities

• Document and monitor animal behaviour
• Prepare food and feed animals
• Clean and disinfect cages, pens, and other animal environments
• Keep records of animals treated
• Supervise helpers and maintain supplies
• Clip animal nails and clean animal ears

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: Will train
• Certificates: Pet first aid course preferred

Work Environment

• Outdoors, in a kennel, pet grooming shop, pet shop, and daycare setting
• Physically demanding with a need for attention to detail
