Team Environment

The Divisional Controller will report to the Director of Financial Reporting (who reports to the VP Finance and CFO) and join a high-performing finance team that includes:

• 2 existing Divisional Controllers (you’ll be the third)
• Several Accounting Technicians and Assistants reporting indirectly

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Divisional Controller, you will oversee the financial operations of multiple subsidiaries, including a major investment entity. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating the full accounting cycle for designated subsidiaries
• Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Leading audit coordination and supporting tax compliance (DAS, sales tax, etc.)
• Providing technical guidance on tax matters to internal teams
• Collaborating cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
• Leveraging Excel and in-house systems for reporting and analysis
• Supporting year-end audits and ensuring compliance (20% of the role)

Who You Are:

You bring more than just technical expertise; you’re collaborative, self-driven, and thrive in a vibrant, fast-moving environment.

The ideal candidate has:

• A CPA designation
• 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting
• Strong command of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Exposure to project-based accounting (e.g., construction, tech, engineering) is a plus
• A personable, outgoing attitude and the ability to work autonomously

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary: $120,000 – $140,000
• Annual bonus: Up to $7,000 (based on company performance)
• Vacation: 4 weeks (5 weeks if 15+ years of experience) – includes 2 weeks off during the holidays
• Personal & Sick Days: 2 personal days + 3 sick days
• CPA Support: Full coverage of CPA dues and professional development
