Job Description: Diesel Mechanic

This is an exciting opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic to join our client. We are open to applications from international candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit, and immigration support may be available for the right applicant.

Job Details

• Location: Mississauga, ON
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $34.10/hour for 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Order parts and maintain inventory
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
• Perform repair work on heavy trucks
• Service attachments and working tools
• Verify and repair emission control systems
• Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing
• Perform other routine maintenance

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Languages: English
• Personal Suitability: Accurate, Client-focused, Dependable, Flexible, Judgement, Reliable, Team player, Organized
