Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
• Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers
• Communicate the overall situation of children to parents
• Assist early childhood educators with programs for children’s development
• Lead activities through storytelling, songs, and outings
• Order supplies and equipment
• Guide children in developing proper habits
• Prepare reports for parents or supervisors regarding children’s progress
• Establish guidelines for behavior
• Attend staff meetings to discuss children’s progress
• Plan activities for school-age children
• Supervise other early childhood educators and assistants

Experience and Specialization

• Target Audience: Children
• Education Required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
