Job Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled cook. We welcome applications from international candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a catering firm with potential immigration support for overseas applicants.
Job Details
- Location: Surrey, BC
- Salary: $17.85 per hour
- Employment Type: Permanent Full-time
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Determine the size of food portions and costs.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas.
- Organize buffets and banquets.
Qualifications
- Education: Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role.
- Languages: English proficiency is required.
Work Environment
Work must be completed at the physical location. Public transportation is available.
