Our client is seeking a Cook to join their team. This is a permanent full-time position with potential visa sponsorship available for overseas candidates.

Job Details

• Location: Surrey, BC
• Work Setting: On-site, Restaurant
• Salary: $27.00 to $37.00 per hour (To be negotiated)
• Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent Employment, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Night, Weekend, To be determined

Responsibilities

• Determine the size of food portions and costs
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements for execution
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
• Order supplies and equipment
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Manage kitchen operations

Experience and Specialization

• Cuisine Specialties: Japanese cuisine
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Qualifications

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
