Our client is seeking a dedicated Continuing Care Assistant to provide essential support in patient care and comfort. This role is suitable for candidates with various backgrounds, and immigration support is potentially available for overseas applicants.

Job Details

• Location: Dartmouth, NS
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $20.00 to $21.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 to 48 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Vacancies: 6

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
• Perform duties related to patient care and comfort
• Supply and empty bed pans
• Serve meal trays and assist in feeding patients
• Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
• Maintain inventory of supplies
• Answer call signals to determine patients’ needs
• Administer first aid in emergency situations

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Fast-paced environment

• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
• Language: Proficiency in English
