Job Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Worker for various locations, including Mississauga, ON. This position offers support for international applicants, including candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.
Job Details
- Location: Mississauga, ON
- Work Location: On-site
- Salary: $28.00 per hour / 40 hours per week
- Terms of Employment: Term or contract, full-time
- Special Commitments: Overtime required, Flexible hours

Responsibilities
- Load, unload and transport construction materials
- Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting
- Perform pre-operational inspection
- Instruct apprentices
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
- Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
- Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
- Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
- Level earth to fine grade specifications
- Operate cranes mounted on boats or barges
- Pave and rake asphalt
- Assist in demolishing buildings
- Perform routine maintenance work
- Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites
- Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
Experience and Qualifications
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
- Experience: 5 years or more in a related field
- Languages: English
- Equipment Experience: Bobcats, concrete saws, air compressors, and more
Work Environment
- Outdoor settings
- At heights, underground, confined spaces
- Fast-paced and physically demanding
Additional Information
- Weight Handling: Up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and more than 100 lbs (45 kg)
- Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, safety vest
